Catholic Theology
With the minor in Catholic Theology, you will join a community of great minds in gaining a strong foundation to “open your heart” and prepare for a life of service to the Church and to society in fields such as medicine, law, education or through a vocation to the priesthood and religious life.
Courses treat the full range of Catholic thought concerning Scripture, doctrine, moral living, worship and prayer, as well as the Catholicism’s precious contributions to philosophy and social-political life.

The Department Languages, Literatures and Cultures offers a variety of courses that bring students more fully into contact with the roots of their culture through minors in Greek, Latin, classical languages and classical cultures.

Students who wish to enrich their understanding of communication in conjunction with another major program may enroll in the department's minor program. Minors deal with specific subjects such as advertising, film, journalism, public relations, speech, theater, computer graphics, radio or television. A student's minor program is developed with a department faculty adviser.

Economists are interested in the choices individuals and nations make, and why, which makes for an exciting course of study. Interactive Design and Multimedia
Upon completion of a minor in Interactive Design and Multimedia, students will master 2D and 3D software programs including modeling, animation, illustration, video, sound, photography, print and web authoring. They will obtain experience integrating multimedia into time based presentations and deliver them effectively through mobile and Internet web services.

The minor in international business provides the global and cross-cultural knowledge required for success in today's rapidly changing international business environment. A special emphasis is placed on languages as well as cultural and geopolitical dimensions of the current international business environment.

Irish Literature
The bards, playwrights, and fiction writers of Ireland have lead the way in negotiating Ireland’s colonial past, representing its religious ideals, and constructing its national identity. This minor introduces Seton Hall students to Irish literature from the pre-Christian Irish myths and epics, to the founding of the Irish National Theatre, to the Northern Irish Troubles, to contemporary Irish poetry, drama, and narratives of emigration.

The program in Latin American and Latino/Latina Studies (LALS) builds from a core of Spanish language, Latin American history and politics, as well as courses that focus on different aspects of Latin American and Latino culture.

Medieval and Renaissance Studies
The Medieval and Renaissance Studies Minor is for students interested in focusing on these particular historical periods and how they manifest in a variety of disciplines. Students must take 6 courses (18 credits) from the course curriculum list below. Courses must come from at least 3 departments; students may focus specifically on the Medieval or Renaissance period, or they can combine courses from both periods. Students’ coursework may focus on Western Europe or take a broader view of Medieval and Renaissance geography to include the Middle East, the Far East, and even the Americas. Courses may “double count” with a student’s major or additional minor. Other special topics courses may be approved for the minor by the coordinator.

Middle Eastern and North African Studies
The Arts and Sciences has created the Minor in Middle Eastern and North African Studies in order to provide an interdisciplinary overview encompassing the history, cultures, religious traditions and political institutions of the lands stretching from Morocco to Iran and from Turkey to the Southern tip of the Arabian Peninsula in the period from the rise of Islam to the present day.

Sound Production & Engineering
The Sound Production & Engineering minor is designed to familiarize the student with current trends in software and hardware associated with the creation of electronic music, while surveying the developmental history of music technology. In addition, it offers practical industry-related skills necessary to create electronic music for a variety of genres such as music for film, commercial music, abstract electro-acoustic compositions and more. The minor culminates in the formation of a portfolio reflective of works completed through the course sequence.

Undergraduate Minor in Applied Scientific Mathematics
Providing a rounded exposure to mathematics for students majoring in the sciences, the program focuses on basic tools and applications of mathematics in science. Students in other majors are welcome to pursue the program if they meet course prerequisites and complete at least two science laboratory sequences at the level required for the Arts and Sciences B.S. Core or higher.

Wealth management is the application of asset management principles founded on the concepts of financial decision making and behavioral finance, including the value of time, the assessment of risk, and the measurement of performance within a financial planning framework. The Certified Financial Planning Board states that a program such as ours will provide students with three essential elements needed to gain trust and earn recognition in the personal financial field: competency, confidence and credibility.
Students pursuing the minor will build a focused skill set in high demand in a helping profession that aligns with the mission of the University. Successful completion of the minor allows the student to sit for CFP® designation.
