Students wishing to minor in Journalism must take a total of 18 credits, including 9 credits of required courses plus as additional 9 credits in Journalism electives.

- COJR 2136 Media Law (3 credits) OR
- COJR 2423 American Journalism (3 credits)
- COMM 1421 Writing for the Media (3 credits)
The remaining 9 credits of Journalism electives should be chosen under the guidance of an academic adviser.
