Meet Our CHDCM Student Ambassadors

CHDCM Ambassadors are a distinguished group of student leaders who represent various departments and co-curricular areas in the College of Human Development, Culture and Media and Seton Hall University. During undergraduate prospective and admitted student events, Ambassadors engage with visiting families by sharing their student experiences, offering advice and answering questions.

Paul Belasic

Paul Belasic

Paul Belasic of Park Ridge, New Jersey, is a Sophomore undergraduate double-majoring in Secondary Education and History. Belasic’s high school history teachers ignited his passion for learning about history and engaging in discussions on the subject. They also served as coaches who encouraged him to give his best in sports. These experiences inspired Belasic to pay it forward by becoming an educator himself. Belasic has a variety of career aspirations, including becoming a university professor, a lawyer and a politician. Aside from his studies, Belasic has a leadership role with the New Jersey Student Education Association as the Event Coordinator and Public Relations Chair. Additionally, Belasic is involved in other campus organizations including Active Minds, Campus Ministry, DOVE, Pre-Law Organization, Slavic Club, University Blood Initiative, Center for Vocation and Servant Leadership where he is serves as a  Servant Leader Scholar. Moreover, Belasic holds a working role on-campus with PC Support Services in Asset Management. Aside from his University activities, Belasic is an Eagle Scout, active in his church and is a part of the Knights of Columbus in Council 4486.


Niamh Campbell

Niamh Campbell

Niamh Campbell of both England and Arizona, is a Sophomore undergraduate majoring in Visual and Sound Media, with a concentration in Sports Media. Campbell is additionally minoring in Italian. Campbell is a lifelong athlete and passionate sports enthusiast who spends much of her free time watching and discussing sports. When it came time to choose a major, she knew she wanted to pursue a career in the sports industry. As a result, studying sports media was the best fit choice for her. After graduation, Campbell aspires to become a sports broadcaster and presenter on television. She hopes to return to England, where she aims to host talk shows and feature segments that highlight European sports, as well as promote American sports overseas. In addition to her studies, Campbell is a member of multiple student organizations including the Seton Hall Women’s Tennis team where she also serves as the manager of the team’s Instagram account. Campbell is also a part of the Pirate Sports Network where she works to provide Pirate Nation with quality broadcasts for on-campus, home games. Campbell has worked behind the scenes of productions, operating cameras and the replay machine, running commercials and designing on-screen graphics. For the past year, Campbell had been able to work in the front of the camera, hosting pre- and post-game interviews, presenting feature stories for various sports, sideline reporting and color commentating. Moreover, Campbell is part of the CHDCM Honors and Alumni Mentor Program (CHAMP) for Spring 2025 where she is paired with a Seton Hall alumnus in her desired industry to gain insights and guidance for her future career path. Aside from her academics, Campbell enjoys cooking, watching movies and hanging out with friends.


Noemi Cerqueira

Noemi Cerquiera

Noemi Cerqueira of Newark, New Jersey, is a Sophomore undergraduate double-majoring in Secondary Education and Mathematics. Cerqueira’s interest in pursuing her program began with the impactful teachers she has had throughout her educational career. Cerqueira has aspired to be a teacher since childhood, but it was her seventh-grade teachers who truly inspired her to pursue a career in education. They encouraged her to become an even better teacher than they were and to embody the kind of educator she always wished to have. This motivation drove her to dedicate herself to the field of education and strive to be the best teacher possible for her future students. Cerqueira chose mathematics as her concentration because she has always found the subject fascinating and it has remained her favorite throughout her academic journey. Cerqueira strives to be a math teacher who not only helps students grasp mathematical concepts but also fosters a love for learning and builds their confidence in the subject. Her career goals include becoming a certified math teacher for grades 7-12, with a particular focus on working with high school students. Looking ahead, she hopes to pursue a master’s degree in educational studies, with the potential to one day take on a leadership role within a school. Cerqueira holds the leadership role as a Commuter Ambassador here at the University and is also a member of EOPSO and NJSEA. 


Samantha Davidson

Samantha Davidson

Samantha Davidson of Whippany, New Jersey, is a Junior undergraduate double-majoring in Secondary Education and History. Davidson’s interest in her program was inspired by the exceptional teachers she encountered throughout her K-12 education and her desire to give back by making a similar impact on future students. Her career goal is to teach middle school Social Studies, where she hopes to inspire and engage the next generation of learners. Davidson is an active member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, where she holds a leadership position on the External Affairs Committee. Additionally, Davidson believes that the CHDCM Ambassador program offers prospective students a valuable opportunity to gain an authentic student perspective on the programs they are interested in. Davidson is passionate about sharing her experiences and helping others make informed decisions about their educational journey.


Benny M. Duran

Benny Duran

Benny M. Duran of Orange, New Jersey, is a second year undergraduate double-majoring in Secondary Education and History. Duran’s deep love for history and his desire to become a teacher ignited his interest in the field of education. He aspires to inspire and guide students as a High School History Teacher, with a long-term goal of possibly becoming a college professor. At Seton Hall University, Duran is an active member of Kappa Delta Pi, an honor society for educators. He also holds a work-study position at Campus Ministry, contributing to the University community. Benny is a proud student and son to his parents who come from the Dominican Republic.

Caitlin Ennis

Caitlin Ennis of Bloomfield, New Jersey, is a Junior undergraduate in the dual degree program for Elementary and Special Education/Speech-Language Pathology. Ennis is also pursuing an additional degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences. Ennis’ passion for her current programs stemmed from a personal experience that deeply resonated with her, motivating her to make a meaningful difference in people's lives. Upon graduation, Ennis aims to become a Speech-Language Pathologist. Ennis holds a leadership position in which she serves as the event coordinator on the board of Kappa Delta Pi Education Honor Society. In addition, Ennis plays a leading role in managing the admissions process for the Buccino Leadership Institute's selection procedure.


Abby Friedman

Abby Friedman

Abby Friedman of Springfield, New Jersey, is a Sophomore undergraduate in the dual degree program for Elementary and Special Education/Speech-Language Pathology. Friedman is also pursuing an additional major in Social and Behavioral Science. Her passion for both fields stems from her deep-rooted desire to work with children and make a meaningful impact on people's lives. After graduation, Friedman is determined to pursue a career as a speech-language pathologist. Friedman holds a leadership role at the University as the Director of Property for Alpha Gamma Delta. In addition to her involvement with Alpha Gamma Delta, she is also a member of the student organization Hillel at Seton Hall University.


Diana Gervasi

Diana Gervasi

Diana Gervasi of Staten Island, New York, is a second year undergraduate in the 4+1 Elementary and Special Education program with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis. Gervasi has had several impactful teachers throughout her life who have not only guided her academic journey but also shaped her into the person she is today. Their kindness, dedication and belief in her potential have inspired her to pursue a career where she can make a similar impact on the youth. Additionally, having a brother with Autism Spectrum Disorder has profoundly influenced her perspective. Witnessing the transformative role that her brother’s teachers and ABA therapists have played in his development has been truly inspiring, motivating her to pay it forward. Gervasi’s primary goal is to become an elementary school teacher, dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive and engaging classroom environment where students feel valued and motivated to learn. While her main focus is teaching, she is also interested in incorporating ABA principles into her work to support students with behavioral and developmental challenges. Outside of Seton Hall University, Gervasi works as a private tutor for elementary school students across all subjects. In this role, she not only guides students academically but also helps them build confidence and develop problem-solving skills. Additionally, Gervasi is a member of Kappa Delta Pi, the International Honor Society in Education, here at the University.


Amanda Grace

Amanda Grace

Amanda Grace of Branchburg, New Jersey, is a Junior undergraduate double-majoring in Secondary and Special Education and English. Aside from her studies, Grace is involved in Campus Ministry and the DOVE program here at Seton Hall University. Additionally, Grace interns as an assistant street hip-hop educator at Gotta Dance. Grace’s interest in the Secondary and Special Education field was initiated by her participation in the “Be a Buddy Program” during her middle school years. Throughout the program, Grace participated in physical education activities with students of various disabilities. Grace’s passion for special education flourished while in high school, fueled by her involvement in Unified Sports and her role in coordinating the program with the school’s Life Skills class. Grace’s ideal future includes working with those of intellectual and medical disabilities and including them in activities that general education students get to experience. Grace also has a strong desire to raise awareness about students with disabilities and their right to be included in opportunities such as attending prom, going to sporting events and participating in field trips.


Lauren Hall

Lauren Hall

Lauren Hall of Long Island, New York, is a Junior undergraduate double-majoring in Elementary and Special Education and Social and Behavioral Sciences. Hall is actively involved in several University organizations, including serving as Vice President of the New Jersey Student Education Association (NJSEA), directing chapter and culture for Alpha Omicron Pi and being a member of the education honor society, Kappa Delta Pi. Ever since Hall was a child, she has dreamed of becoming a teacher and giving back to the educators who played a large role in her success. Seton Hall University’s education program has greatly deepened Hall’s passion for teaching, inspiring her more and more each day. Hall aspires to become a first grade teacher and to later become a principal. Hall's favorite aspect of Seton Hall University's education program is the early start to student teaching, which has been incredibly valuable and has deepened her passion for teaching.


Michael Herring

Michael Herring

Michael Herring of Long Island, New York, is a Junior undergraduate double-majoring in Secondary Education and Liberal Studies, with a minor in English. Herring has always been interested in teaching and helping uplift the success for others. Herring’s goals post graduation include achieving a PhD and a degree in Psychology. Herring holds a leadership role as an Orientation Leader and is also a member of Habitat for Humanity


Jasmine Loo

Jasmine Loo

Jasmine Loo of Harrison, New Jersey, is a Sophomore undergraduate double-majoring in Elementary and Special Education and Art, Design and Interactive Media with a concentration in Fine and Digital Arts. Becoming a teacher has always been Loo's childhood dream. However, what truly pushed her to pursue education in college was witnessing her brother’s experience with virtual learning during the pandemic. Despite the challenges, she saw how her brother’s teacher went out of her way to create a nurturing environment and develop creative solutions to ensure students like her brother received the accommodations they needed to succeed. Loo hopes to be a source of support in young students’ lives. Loo’s time during her field placements has ignited her excitement to work in a classroom of her own after graduation. While she is not sure which grade she will end up teaching, Loo thinks grades 2-4 are where she is feeling the most comfortable. Regarding her involvement on campus, Loo is a R.I.S.E. Scholar. This academic year, Loo has chosen to receive the Helen & Ruth Warrin Scholarship for education through Seton Hall University. This scholarship assured Loo that she is right where she belongs in her journey of becoming a teacher.


Justin Lotito

Justin Lotito

Justin Lotito of Cranford, New Jersey, is a Junior undergraduate in the Communication Studies program with minors in Business Administration and Journalism. Lotito has always been fascinated by how corporations and public figures shape perceptions through marketing, advertising and communication campaigns. This passion led him to pursue a major in Communication Studies, where he could explore the dynamics of influence and messaging. Additionally, his interest in the strategic side of business inspired him to complement his studies with a minor in Business Administration. Lotito aspires to build a career in corporate communications, event planning, or digital marketing upon graduation. To prepare for this path, he has taken on leadership roles and pursued internships that have allowed him to develop hands-on experience and refine his skills in these areas. He serves as the Co-President of Pirate Planners, a tour guide for Blue Crew and a CHDCM Student Ambassador. Lotito is also involved in student organizations such as the Buccino Leadership Institute, Blue Crew and The Stillman Exchange.Furthermore, Lotito has gained valuable experience through internship positions, including roles as a Digital Marketing Intern for the Seton Hall Sports Poll and a Digital Marketing Intern for Premiere Creative.


Cameran Lowery

Cameran Lowery

Cameran Lowery of New Jersey, is a Sophomore undergraduate double-majoring in Elementary and Special Education and Art and Design, with a concentration in Fine and Digital Arts. Lowery developed a deep love for watching young learners grow, drawn from the joy and pride she feels when their faces light up when they understand something new. Working with children allows her to blend her passion for teaching and creativity, which aligns perfectly with her dual majors in Elementary and Special Education and Fine and Digital Arts. These fields offer Lowery the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by nurturing young minds and encouraging self-expression through both education and art. Her career goals include becoming an elementary teacher, where she can inspire and support young learners every day. In addition to teaching, Lowery dreams of owning a dance studio, combining her love for education and the arts to create a space where children can express themselves creatively. By pursuing both teaching and the arts, Lowery hopes to positively impact children’s lives academically, artistically and emotionally. Lowery’s involvement here at the University includes her position as a CHDCM Student Ambassador.


Madison MacPherson

Madison Macpherson

Madison MacPherson of Vernon, New Jersey, is a Junior undergraduate pursuing a double-major in Secondary Education and Mathematics, with a minor in Psychology. Throughout high school, mathematics came naturally to MacPherson and she often found herself helping others understand the teacher’s explanations of various concepts. This experience sparked her interest in education. After deciding to pursue a career in teaching, MacPherson reflected on her strengths and realized that math was her strongest subject. After graduation, MacPherson hopes to secure a teaching position at either a public middle school or high school. In addition to her career, she plans to pursue a master’s degree in Education. MacPherson currently serves as a Resident Assistant in Boland Hall at the University.


Ivan Malave Vivas

Ivan Malave Vivas

Ivan Malave Vivas of Paterson, New Jersey, is a Sophomore undergraduate double majoring in Elementary and Special Education and History. Growing up, Vivas would tutor his classmates who were falling behind. With each peer he tutored, he recognized the flaws and poor management within the education system. It did not take much contemplation to know that he had a passion for teaching. Vivas hopes to inspire youth and teachers alike to reinvent the wheel and inspire their peers. Upon graduation, Vivas’ goal is to become either a special education or history teacher in his hometown of Paterson, New Jersey. Vivas is a member of the Palestinian Student Association. Aside from his University life, Vivas is a member in two rock bands.


Moe Moffatt

Moe Moffat

Moe Moffatt of Southern California, is a Junior undergraduate double-majoring in Secondary Education and Theatre. Moffatt’s passion for their chosen programs was sparked by their early engagement in theatre, both in community and school settings. Theatre has been their greatest passion in life and it is an area they have always wanted to thrive in. Moffatt added education to their studies because it piqued their interest and they are excited to share their love for theatre and inspire future students. Moffatt’s long-term goal is to become a professional actor, performing in live theatre spaces such as regional theatres and Broadway. After gaining experience on stage, they hope to transition into teaching and put their education degree to work. Moffatt previously served as the E-Board Secretary for the Seton Hall Theatre Council and continues to contribute as a general council member.


Mildred Ogari

Mildred Ogari

Mildred Ogari of Edison, New Jersey, is a Sophomore undergraduate pursuing a dual-degree in Elementary and Special Education/Speech-Language Pathology, with a minor in Spanish. Ogari has always believed in the importance of making a positive impact on children every day, even in small ways. This passion led her to pursue her chosen program, where she can continue to make a difference in their lives. Ogari’s future plans include working as an elementary school teacher, followed by opening a private practice as a speech-language pathologist. As per student involvement, Ogari is a member of the African American Student Association here at Seton Hall University.


Gianna Sanchez

Gianna Sanchez

Gianna Sanchez of Belleville, New Jersey, is a Sophomore undergraduate in the dual-degree program for Elementary and Special Education/Speech-Language Pathology. Sanchez is additionally pursuing a degree in Environmental Studies. Sanchez was introduced to this profession about nine years ago when her youngest sister began receiving speech therapy at home due to her Down Syndrome. Witnessing her sister's growth and how the therapists empowered her to find her voice and communicate with others sparked Sanchez's desire to do the same for others. Upon graduation, Sanchez aims to become a speech therapist for children with disabilities. Currently, Sanchez is involved in the student organization Best Buddies at the University.


Dominick Valentine

Dominick Valentine

Dominick Valentine of Staten Island, New York, is a Junior undergraduate in the Visual and Sound Media program with a concentration in TV Production. Along with his major, Valentine is also pursuing a minor in Public Relations. Valentine’s passion for his chosen field was sparked by co-founding the broadcasting club in high school. The club provided him with a platform to express his creativity through content creation, allowing him to communicate in a fun and meaningful way. Valentine's career aspiration is to become a network producer and broadcaster, working for a well-renowned television company. Valentine holds multiple leadership roles, including Recruitment and Philanthropy Chairman for Phi Delta Theta, Vice President of Marketing and Programming for Seton Hall’s Interfraternity Council, member of the Zero Chains Initiative, CHDCM Ambassador and Tour Leader for Blue Crew Admissions. Additionally, he has directed two Christmas theater productions at Seton Hall University. Beyond his leadership positions, Valentine is also actively involved in campus organizations such as WSOU, Pirate Sports Network and, formerly, the CHAMP mentorship program. Valentine would also like to acknowledge his mother’s efforts, thanking her for working tirelessly and making countless sacrifices to support his pursuits.


Gianna Vaynberg

Gianna Vaynberg

Gianna Vaynberg of Union, New Jersey, is a Junior undergraduate double-majoring in Elementary and Special Education and English. Vaynberg's passion for her program was sparked by her mother, a fourth-grade teacher and her lifelong desire to pursue a career in education. After working as a summer camp counselor with 3- and 4-year-olds, she realized her true calling was to work with the youth, shaping the future. Vaynberg aspires to teach in an elementary special education classroom and dreams of directing children's theatre. She also hopes to publish more of her writing in the future. At the University, Vaynberg has taken on several leadership roles, including serving as a Peer Advisor and holding the position of the Public Relations Chair on the Seton Hall Theatre Council E-Board, where she is an active member. Recently, she had her work published in the Locus Journal of Undergraduate Research and is currently conducting a private study with her Education professor to analyze the impact of new educational legislation.


Kayla Wager

Kayla Wager

Kayla Wager of New Providence, New Jersey, is a Junior undergraduate double-majoring in Secondary Education and Mathematics. Wager grew up surrounded by educators, where she was exposed to education from a very young age. She believes that education is a profession of continuous growth—one that requires staying informed about current issues while embracing the diverse backgrounds of students. Wager loves teaching because of the strong sense of connection it fosters, as it is built on relationships and meaningful interactions. She finds it incredibly rewarding to make a lasting impact on students, something she has experienced firsthand. Inspired by the teachers who shaped her life in unforgettable ways, Wager hopes to do the same for future generations. Wager’s future goals are to get her master’s degree at Seton Hall University and to one day teach at the college level. Regarding her student involvement, Wager is a member of Kappa Delta Pi Education Honor Society and the Math Club.
