Academic Advising

Full-time faculty and administrators within the College of Human Development, Culture, and Media serve as advisers to support students within the College to enhance the quality of the student experience and plan coursework in alignment with prescribed curricula.

All students within the College are required to meet with an academic adviser at least once per semester. Receiving academic advising is integral to student success and degree completion. Academic Advising within the College is a partnership between student and adviser, as well as campus partners from the Center for Academic Success and the Career Center. Through this partnership, advisers within the College help students articulate their educational and career goals, understand University policy and procedures, and connect with campus resources to support their transition.
