Important Move-In Day Information for All Resident Students

Housing and Residence Life is looking forward to welcoming you Home to the Hall! With move-in day for incoming students on Thursday, August 26, and returning students Friday, August 27, we share important information to make your Move In experience enjoyable and safe. Please carefully read the following:

Vaccinated Students

Vaccinated resident students are required to provide verification of full vaccination. Students should upload their vaccination cards on the Student Health Portal. Once there, choose “Immunizations and Upload”, and choose the “COVID Vaccine Card” option. If you need assistance, visit the Health Services website for more information. International students should review our frequently asked questions regarding vaccines approved by the World Health Organization.

In addition to uploading your card, we also recommend you bring verification of vaccination with you. All members of the community should carry their vaccination card and/or take a picture of it with their mobile phone. Additionally, New Jersey offers a free app called Docket to show your vaccine status -- available through the Apple and Google Play app stores.

Unvaccinated Students

Unvaccinated students are required to provide verification of a negative COVID-19 test taken no more than 72 hours before their move-in date. Note: The COVID-19 test must be a PCR or molecular test; antibody or antigen tests are not acceptable. Students should upload their COVID-19 test results to the Student Health Portal.

In addition to uploading your test results, please bring a copy of the test results to campus so you have that information available if needed.

Move-In Protocols

Students who do not upload a vaccine card or a negative covid-19 test will not be permitted access to their residence hall. They will have to provide verification of completed vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test before they may move in.

Please adhere to the following guidelines during your move-in:

We are committed to providing you with a safe and robust college experience. Please know that these protocols are in place with your safety – and that of our entire University community – foremost in mind. If you have questions regarding this message, please contact us.
