Seton Hall Welcomes World Leaders

The World Leaders Forum speakers series returns to Seton Hall this semester with two major events, hosted by the School of Diplomacy and International Relations.
A career diplomat, Ambassador Csaba Kőrösi has been a leading voice on the climate crisis.
On Thursday, January 26, Seton Hall welcomes Ambassador Csaba Kőrösi, the President of the 77th Session of
the UN General Assembly. A career diplomat and leading voice on the climate crisis,
Ambassador Kőrösi was sworn in as president of the UN General Assembly on September
13, 2022.
As presiding officer of the UN’s main policymaking forum, Kőrösi continues the assembly’s
work promoting global recovery from the pandemic, addressing climate change and striving
to meet the 17 UN development goals for 2030. He is expected to speak about these

Archbishop Christophe Pierre is expected to speak about the diplomatic work of the Holy See and its unique position in international law and custom.
On Wednesday February 1, Archbishop Christophe Pierre, Apostolic Nuncio to the United States addresses the World Leaders Forum. In his address to the Seton Hall community, the Papal Nuncio is expected to speak about the diplomatic work of the Holy See and its unique position in international law and custom.
As Ambassador to the Holy See, the Apostolic Nuncio is the Vatican’s representative to the Church in the United States and to the country’s government. Archbishop Christophe Pierre was appointed to his role by Pope Francis on April 12, 2016. Register here.
Both World Leaders Forum events take place at the Bishop Dougherty University Center beginning at 4 p.m.
The World Leaders Forum provides an opportunity for speakers to encourage dialogue in search of new avenues for building peace. As part of this signature program, the School of Diplomacy has most recently welcomed United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres, and U.S. Ambassador to the UN Linda Thomas-Greenfield.
