New Seton Hall Community Engagement Hub Connects Local Communities with University Resources

Seton Hall University has launched a new online Community Engagement hub to make it easier for local residents, families, visitors and community partners to discover what the University has to offer and find ways to participate. The hub brings together information on public events, campus amenities, youth and summer programs, signature events, community partnerships and other programs open to the public.

“Seton Hall is proud to be part of the communities where our campuses are located,” said Monica Burnette, vice president of Student Services at Seton Hall University. “This new hub makes it easier for our neighbors to see what’s happening at the University and find opportunities to connect, participate and take advantage of resources that are open to the public.”

The hub highlights opportunities across Seton Hall’s South Orange campus, Seton Hall Law School in Newark and the Interprofessional Health Sciences Campus in Nutley and Clifton. Visitors can find information about library access, dining, athletics, worship opportunities, performances, lectures, youth programs and continuing education. The site also provides practical information for those planning a visit to campus, including directions, parking, campus access and visitor policies.

The hub will also serve as a growing showcase of Seton Hall’s work in the community. A dedicated “In the Community” section features current initiatives, partnerships and programs that bring the University together with local residents and organizations, including youth programming, community events and service initiatives.

“Universities and the communities they call home have a shared interest in seeing each other thrive,” said Matthew Borowick, vice president of University Relations. “Strong relationships with our local partners are built through trust, meaningful engagement, open communication and a shared understanding of the many ways we rely on each other. This hub is another way for Seton Hall to strengthen those connections and make it easier for our neighbors to make use of all the opportunities that come with having a university nearby.”

The Community Engagement hub is part of Seton Hall’s ongoing efforts to strengthen relationships with its neighbors and make it easier for members of the public to engage with the University.

Seton Hall schools, colleges and administrative units are encouraged to submit public-facing initiatives, programs and partnerships for potential inclusion on the Community Engagement hub. To submit an initiative for consideration, complete a Digital Communications, Marketing and Media Planner.
