Health Services Earns Accreditation

Health OfficeHealth Services was notified on March 20, 2023, that they earned reaccreditation for another three years by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) following a recent site visit. Health Services was originally accredited by AAAHC in 2008 and have continuously maintained accreditation since that time. Seton Hall Health Services is one of only three universities in the state of New Jersey to have an accredited campus Health Services.

AAAHC offers accreditation for a wide range of health settings including primary care offices, urgent care centers, same-day surgical centers and university health centers. To achieve accreditation status, Health Services must meet and maintain high standards of service, care, and clinical practice. How well these standards are met is judged by an external examiner from AAAHC for accreditation to be reaffirmed.

“I am very happy to share this news with our students. We are proud to have met the challenge of reaccreditation and intend to consistently uphold the AAAHC principles of safety and quality improvement when delivering health care to our students. Students can be assured that the quality of care they receive at Health Services meets not only our expectations, but also the rigorous standards of a nationally recognized third party.” said Diane Lynch, DNP, FNP-BC, Director of Health Services.
