Vaccination Levels, Information, Resources

As noted in previous HICT updates, we continue to reopen our campuses consistent with State of New Jersey guidance. Fully vaccinated individuals may wear a mask if they choose. Individuals who are not fully vaccinated are required to wear a mask indoors. Enforcement is via the honor code.

Vaccines are free, widely available, and effective. We strongly encourage you to get vaccinated.

University Vaccination Levels

Governor Murphy noted the State exceeded its vaccination goal, which has led to the elimination of most pandemic restrictions. Through the Confidential Vaccine Declaration the University is gaining a clear picture of vaccination levels across its populations. As of July 6, 2021:

Notice of the declaration requirement was sent to 13,841 individuals. 86% of the recipients responded. Over seventy percent (72.3%) report being fully vaccinated. Over five percent (5.2%) report having received the first of two injections. Almost nine percent (8.8%) plan to get vaccinated. Approximately fourteen percent (13.7%) report they will be seeking an exemption.  We will continue to update you on the declaration. Please remember it is imperative and required that you complete the declaration. Thank you to all who have already done so.
