Reopening Continues, Vaccination Metrics, Helpful Resources - Seton Hall University

As noted in previous HICT updates, we continue to reopen our campuses consistent with State of New Jersey guidance. Fully vaccinated individuals may wear a mask if they choose. Individuals who are not fully vaccinated are required to wear a mask indoors. Enforcement is via the honor code.

Signage is being updated. Plexiglass is being removed. Classrooms are being returned to their pre-pandemic look. We are eagerly awaiting the full in-person return of employees on July 12 in preparation for students' arrival soon after.

Discontinuation of #CampusClear App

As a result of the University community's high vaccination rates, low transmission rate, and high level of adherence to the Seton Hall Pledge, we discontinued use of the #CampusClear app, effective June 18, 2021. We are prepared to reinstitute use of the app if needed. Employees with questions regarding illness and absences should refer to the Earned Sick Leave policy or contact Human Resources. Thank you to all who diligently conducted and reported a daily health screening.

University Vaccination Levels

Governor Murphy noted the State exceeded its vaccination goal, which has led to the elimination of most pandemic restrictions. Through the Confidential Vaccine Declaration the University is gaining a clear picture of vaccination levels across its populations. As of June 21, 2021:

Notice of the declaration requirement was sent to 13,311 individuals. 86.2% of the recipients responded. Sixty-seven percent (67.2%) report being fully vaccinated. Seven percent (7.3%) report having received the first of two injections. Over twelve percent (12.5%) plan to get vaccinated. Thirteen percent (13%) report they will be seeking an exemption. We will continue to update you on the declaration. Please remember it is imperative and required that you complete the declaration. Thank you to all who have already done so.
