We are extremely encouraged as we thoroughly examine today's promising news from the CDC which eliminates a wide array of restrictions for fully vaccinated individuals. We are also monitoring State of New Jersey guidelines which may change as a result of this announcement. The University, through the HICT's efforts, will adjust its policies to reflect any updated guidance and permissions provided by the State of New Jersey. Better days are ahead.
There are numerous benefits to getting vaccinated. We strongly encourage you to get vaccinated - for yourselves and all those around you.
Getting vaccinated for COVID-19 is easier now more than ever. Essex County Executive DiVincenzo announced walk-up vaccination is now available; RiteAid is offering vaccinations; CVS Health is providing walk-in vaccinations at all 324 N.J. locations; All 6 New Jersey mega sites are offering walk in vaccinations.
The CDC provides this helpful vaccine finder. Another site provides information to Find COVID-19 Vaccines Near You. This site provides nationwide information.
The State Department of Health provides a full array of vaccine and vaccination-related information, some of it in multiple languages. Please check it out and share it with those you know who have concerns about being vaccinated.
Keeping Ourselves and Each Other Healthy
Remember to use #CampusClear every day, whether coming to campus or not.
With upcoming seasonal events, including Commencement, we encourage you to read New Jersey's Restrictions on Travel, along with CDC Travel Recommendations for Domestic Travel and for International Travel during COVID-19.
