Serviam Institute Campus Partners
DiploLab
The Serviam Institute collaborates with DiploLab to capture lessons learned from crisis
simulations, wargames, and other experiential learning activities. DiploLab students
work with faculty to review simulation outcomes, decision-making patterns, participant
feedback, and after-action materials, helping turn classroom exercises into usable
research and practical insights. This partnership gives students hands-on research
experience while strengthening Serviam’s ability to refine its programs and contribute
to broader conversations on international security, crisis decision-making, and applied
diplomacy.

Student Veterans of America
The Serviam Institute partners with Seton Hall’s Student Veterans of America chapter to support student veterans as they translate their military experience into campus leadership, professional growth, and continued service in the national security field.
This partnership has connected Seton Hall student veterans to national opportunities,
including participation in the Student Veterans of America National Conference and
SVA Washington Week, a national advocacy and leadership program. Through these experiences,
student veterans engage with peers, policymakers, and leaders from across the country
while bringing that knowledge and leadership back to the Seton Hall community.

Pershing Rifles
The Serviam Institute’s partnership with Pershing Rifles has brought students into direct conversation with national security practitioners across the military and policy world.
Speakers have ranged from active-duty senior leaders working at the cutting edge of technology and policy in the Pentagon, to military professionals joining from South Korea to explain what alliance management looks like in practice, to retired general officers who help students understand the relationship between strategy, leadership, and decision-making in complex security environments. Together, these programs connect classroom learning to the real-world demands of service, leadership, and national security policy.
