Employers from all disciplines are looking to hire pirates! Attend all three upcoming Spring Industry Specific Career Fairs and get advice from industry experts while connecting with professionals about open positions ranging from internships to full-time jobs. These events are open to students and alumni of all concentrations.
The Business Internship and Career Expo
With 35+ companies from many fields, ranging from marketing to finance to accounting
and everything in between, this expo is a prime opportunity to make connections in
the professional world and show them what pirates can do.
Please note that since this event had to be rescheduled due to inclement weather,
not all companies originally signed up to take part can make it. More information can be found on Handshake.
This event will take place on Wednesday, February 28, from 3-5 p.m. in the University Center Event Room.
The Creative Connections Career Fair
In March, the Creative Connections Career Fair will be held in Bethany Hall. Students and alumni are encouraged to discover all the open positions available in a wide variety of fields, from the creative arts, government, humanities, education, social services and beyond. For more information and a full list of attending companies, check out the event page on Handshake.
This event will take place on Thursday, March 21, from 4-6 p.m. in Bethany Hall.
The STEM, Health and Analytics Career Fair
The STEM, Health and Analytics Career Fair will be the final career fair of the semester. For students and alumni interested in healthcare, this is a fantastic opportunity to apply for full-time positions, part-time opportunities, and internships, as well as ask for advice from professionals. Notable employers include the RWJBarnabas Health Medical Group, the Newark Board of Education, Hackensack Meridian Health and more. More information can be found here.
This event will take place on April 24th, from 6-8 p.m. in Bethany Hall.
Things to keep in mind:
Showing up is a huge part of networking, but the first step to making lasting connections is to show up prepared. Remember to:
- Bring your resume! Leave it with interested companies or get professional feedback for future applications.
- Dress to impress! This shows people that you are serious and gives a polished first impression. Check out Pirate’s Closet in the Career Center for any business attire needs.
- Check Handshake! Find upcoming events, such as these career fairs, and see the list of participating employers for each event.
