Career Center Introduces New Platform, 12Twenty, Connecting Students to Career Opportunities

two students sitting down with mentorThis fall, The Career Center has introduced, 12Twenty, a comprehensive career management platform designed to elevate the student and employer experience while enhancing the work of the Career Center.

12Twenty  helps early-career professionals, universities and employers leverage data to find best-fit employment connections. The system centralizes job postings, employer engagement, student appointments, events, and career resources into one intuitive platform, offering mobile-friendly access for convenience. This new innovative technology will replace Seton Hall’s previous career development platform, Handshake.

A part of the platform that Jorge E. Rivera, the Director of the Career Center, is looking forward to the most is the Alumni Engagement Mentorship Model. This model allows students to opt-into being mentored, who in turn, can be mentored by seniors or alumni.

“It's an opportunity for us to increase the value of that student premier experience, and it also provides our alumni to connect with our students,” Rivera said. “This is the directory where our alumni are going to be connected.”

With the launch of 12Twenty, the Career Center can streamline event management and foster stronger connections between students, alumni and employers, supporting Seton Hall’s mission to prepare graduates for meaningful, values-based careers.

“12Twenty will be a great resource for students that will allow them to connect with both potential mentors as well as employers for full-time, part-time, and internship opportunities that align with their specific career and professional goals,” according to Justin Krass, Associate Director.

Other features include robust analytics, customizable workflows and seamless integrations with campus systems, empowering Seton Hall to track student outcomes and deliver data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions.

When students begin utilizing the platform, they will access valuable mentorship opportunities, enhanced career insights and a streamlined path to achieving their professional goals.

The Career Center encourages all students to log in through PirateNet and start exploring what 12Twenty has to offer. For questions or to learn more, contact the Career Center at [email protected] or by going to their website
