Vaccination Metrics, Resources, Reopening - Seton Hall University
Thursday, July 1, 2021
As noted in previous HICT updates, we continue to reopen our campuses consistent with State of New Jersey guidance. Fully vaccinated individuals may wear a mask if they choose. Individuals who are not fully vaccinated are required to wear a mask indoors. Enforcement is via the honor code.
Signage is being updated. Plexiglass is being removed. Classrooms are being returned to their pre-pandemic look. We are eagerly awaiting the full in-person return of employees on July 12 in preparation for students’ arrival soon after.
University Vaccination Levels
Governor Murphy noted the State exceeded its vaccination goal, which has led to the elimination of most pandemic restrictions. Through the Confidential Vaccine Declaration the University is gaining a clear picture of vaccination levels across its populations. As of June 28, 2021:
Notice of the declaration requirement was sent to 13,777 individuals. 85.4% of the recipients responded. Seventy percent (70.7%) report being fully vaccinated. Almost six percent (5.9%) report having received the first of two injections. Ten percent (10%) plan to get vaccinated. Approximately thirteen percent (13.4%) report they will be seeking an exemption. We will continue to update you on the declaration. Please remember it is imperative and required that you complete the declaration. Thank you to all who have already done so.
