Elimination of Mask Requirement Outdoors
Tuesday, May 18, 2021
On May 17, Governor Murphy eliminated the mask requirement in outdoor public spaces. Masks do not need to be worn outdoors, regardless of individuals' vaccination status or ability to maintain social distance, as directed by Governor Murphy through NJ Executive Order No. 241. Accordingly, the Seton Hall Pledge is being updated to reflect this guidance.
As noted in NJEO No. 241, the indoor mask requirement remains in effect.
We are in contact with MetLife Stadium officials to learn what effect, if any, this order has on the upcoming Commencement ceremonies.
