Student Alumni Association to Hold 12th Annual Bounce 'N Trounce Event
Wednesday, February 17, 2021
On March 3, the Seton Hall Student Alumni Association (SAA) will hold its 12th annual Bounce 'N Trounce event. This signature event started
in 2010 and was created to highlight the University's rivalry with Rutgers. The concept
of the event is simple. The Seton Hall community would bounce a basketball for 24
hours so that the men's basketball team would trounce their rival. Since the first
ever Bounce 'N Trounce, the event has evolved each year to highlight the Rutgers rivalry,
or others within the Big East Conference like St. John's and Villanova. Last year's
event was held before the Xavier game.
The event will not be held in its typical 24-hour pep rally style this year, but the
Student Alumni Association is excited to keep this tradition alive. This year's Bounce
'N Trounce will take place in anticipation of the Seton Hall game against UConn. UConn
was selected to be this year’s Bounce 'N Trounce rival as we officially welcomed the
Huskies back into the Big East conference this year. Plans for the event this year
will allow students to participate in a hybrid experience that will take place for
3 hours and will end with an on-campus game watch for students. As in past years,
Seton Hall students, alumni, employees and parents are invited to bounce the ball
during Bounce 'N Trounce on campus and virtually.
The official Bounce 'N Trounce ball will begin bouncing at various stations across campus starting at 3 p.m. Join SAA alongside other campus partners as they host different "make and take" activities, social media contests, and more throughout the event! You do not need to be on-campus to take part in this tradition. The Seton Hall community will have access to a livestream of various components online.
Each person who participates will receive this year's limited-edition t-shirt.

your t-shirt for the event as we bounce the ball in the hopes of trouncing UConn.
