Credit Evaluation
You should submit all official transcripts for all college-level credit you have earned to the Office of Admissions via email to [email protected] or by mail at 400 South Orange Ave, South Orange, NJ 07079.
Once admitted to the University, the Registrar's office will evaluate your transfer credits and provide you with an advanced standing credit evaluation via email. We will accept up to 90 transferable credits from non-remedial, non-vocational courses for which you earned a C or better.
If you would like to see which of your credits will transfer to Seton Hall prior to admission and before receiving your official credit evaluation from the Registrar's office, please use our Transfer Course Equivalency tool.
Nursing students: If you earned a B or better in Anatomy & Physiology I & II, Microbiology or Organic Chemistry from an accredited community college or 4-year institution in the last 5 years, you will receive credit for the equivalent Seton Hall course. All other science courses will transfer in as general elective credit, provided they meet the general credit transfer criteria above.
Transfer Placement Tests
If you have not earned a C or better for college English or math at a non-remedial level, you may be required to take placement tests prior to the start of the semester, though some students are exempt based on their SAT or ACT scores. For more information about placement tests for transfer students, contact the Transfer Center at [email protected] or (973) 275-2387.
You can apply using Seton Hall's Online Application. The application fee is $55 (non-refundable).
