Application Process

Seton Hall uses a rolling admissions process. Applications are accepted and reviewed on an ongoing basis beginning in early January for the Fall Semester and early November for the Spring Semester.

In general, Seton Hall admits students who have maintained a cumulative GPA of above 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) at an accredited institution of higher learning. Note: certain majors may require a higher GPA. Students interested in Nursing must have a 3.3 or above to be admitted as a nursing major. Students with a 2.5-3.49 GPA will be admitted as an undecided major in the College of Arts & Sciences.

You can apply using Seton Hall's Online Application. The application fee is $65 (non-refundable).

Application Materials

  • Complete an application (Fall Deadlines: June 1 for Priority Consideration, August 1 for Regular Decision. Spring Deadline: December 1)
  • Pay the $65 application fee (non-refundable)
  • Submit official transcripts for all colleges/universities. Please have them sent by mail to Office of Admissions, 400 South Orange Ave., South Orange, NJ 07079
    • If you have earned fewer than 24 college-level credits (excluding developmental or ESL classes), you need to submit official high school transcripts for all high schools attended.

Test Scores

While SAT/ACT scores are not required for transfer applicants, applicants to Nursing and Education programs may benefit from submitting their SAT or ACT scores for tests taken within the last five years.
