By the time of her death in 2006, Sister Rose had shared her vision of a world without religious prejudice in many countries and had shepherded the Sister Rose Thering Fund through its first 13 years. The Fund, founded in 1993, provides tuition assistance to New Jersey educators enrolled in Seton Hall's graduate program in Jewish-Christian Studies, enabling them to teach the lessons of the Holocaust and the importance of interfaith appreciation to students in all grade levels who attend public, private and religious-affiliated schools in the state.
