Carolyn Enger
The Sister Rose Thering Fund for Education in Jewish-Christian Studies is pleased to announce that the 2025 Marcia Robbins-Wilf, Ph.D., Lecture will be presented by internationally acclaimed concert pianist Carolyn Enger. The event, free and open to the public, will take place at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, October 26, in Bethany Hall at Seton Hall University, with registration beginning at 2 p.m. A reception will follow the presentation.
Enger will present The Mischlinge Exposé, a powerful, multimedia, live documentary performance. The program explores the lives of the “Mischlinge,” individuals classified by the Nazi regime as “neither fully Aryan nor fully Jewish,” weaving together original compositions, narrative and visual storytelling. Through this work, she invites reflection on issues of identity, belonging, historical erasure, and the universal human struggle for dignity in the face of oppression.
Thanks to the generosity of the Marcia Robbins-Wilf Lecture Endowment, this annual lecture remains one of the premier forums for promoting inter-religious understanding and dialogue in our region. As in past years, the lecture will draw an audience from across the University as well as from the broader community.

About the Sister Rose Thering Fund
The Sister Rose Thering Fund (SRTF) was established as an extension of the Graduate
Department of Jewish-Christian Studies, now part of the Department of Religion. Its
mission is to honor and carry forward Sister Rose’s legacy by promoting mutual understanding
and collaboration among Jews, Christians and people of all faith traditions through
advocacy and education. Until her retirement in 2005, Sister Rose Thering personally
