Call for Hanbury Award Nominations
Wednesday, January 19, 2022
Rev. Msgr. Kevin Hanbury '68/M.D.M. '75/Ed.S. '79/Ed.D. '85 modeled a life committed to service with his drive to care, nurture, and empower those who were challenged or in need. The ripple effect of his commitment to his missions have and will continue to impact generations; the College of Education and Human Services is proud to call him an alumnus.
As part of the annual Spring Alumni Reception, the Msgr. Hanbury Alumni Mission Award is given each year to honor the work of other college alumni who embody Msgr. Hanbury's passion and commitment to serve, in memory of his legacy. And, as the College has done in previous years, we are calling on our alumni to nominate a fellow alumnus/a who is deserving of this award.
The recipient should meet the following criteria:
- Be an alumnus/a of the College of Education and Human Services.
- Be actively engaged in performing an activity, perhaps through work or outside of employment (e.g. church, volunteerism, pro bono work, etc.) which demonstrates service or mission in action.
- Be recognized by the nominator, and others, for actions that support and contribute to improving the lives of others. The service may be a well-recognized program or event as well as a smaller, but regularly occurring action, all of which positively affects others.
- Be focused on helping people rather than being recognized for doing so.
Click here if you would like to nominate an alumnus/a for the 2020 Hanbury Alumni Mission Award. All nominations must be received by February 4, 2022.
The recipient of the Hanbury Alumni Mission Award will be honored at the CEHS Spring Alumni Reception. Details to follow.
