World Leaders Forum Welcomes the Papal Nuncio

As Ambassador to the Holy See, the Apostolic Nuncio is the Vatican’s representative to the Church in the United States and to the country’s government. Archbishop Christophe Pierre was appointed to his role by Pope Francis on April 12, 2016. He had previously served as Apostolic Nuncio for Haiti from 1995 – 1999, and then for Mexico, from 1999 – 2007.

The World Leaders Forum provides an opportunity for speakers to encourage dialogue in search of new avenues for building peace. As part of this signature program, the School of Diplomacy has most recently welcomed United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres, and U.S. Ambassador to the UN Linda Thomas-Greenfield.
