Seton Hall University’s Division of Continuing Education and Professional Studies (CEPS) is expanding its national reach in cybersecurity, risk management and applied workforce development with the launch of the 2026 Optimizing Vendor and Third-Party Risk Practices to Drive Resilience (TPRM) Conference, an executive-level forum addressing one of today’s most urgent and complex challenges: managing risk across global, digitally connected supply chains.
This full-day conference, co-organized with Cyber Intelligence 4U (CIU), reflects CEPS’s strategic focus on high-impact professional development, interdisciplinary collaboration and employer-aligned learning, designed to support working professionals and organizational leaders navigating an increasingly volatile risk landscape.
As organizations face mounting regulatory pressure, the rapid integration of AI technologies and growing dependence on cloud-based and outsourced vendors, third-party risk management has moved from an operational concern to a board-level imperative. Seton Hall’s CEPS is responding by convening academic experts, corporate leaders, regulators, alumni and students in a dynamic learning environment that blends cutting-edge research, applied practice and workforce pathway development.
“Third-party risk is no longer a back-office function. It is a strategic capability that directly affects organizational resilience and public trust,” said Mary Kate Naatus, Ph.D., dean of Continuing Education and Professional Studies at Seton Hall University. “In our Division and across the University, we are building innovative, career-relevant programming that strengthens talent pipelines, upskills professionals and creates new pathways into high-demand careers in cybersecurity, AI governance and risk management.”
The 2026 TPRM Conference is grounded in the themes of Navigating Supply Chain Cyber Risk and will explore the evolving realities of AI-enabled risk and compliance frameworks, fourth- and fifth-party risk visibility, operational resilience and business continuity, regulatory change, including emerging global governance models, ESG, ethical supply chains and transparency and incident response in interconnected digital ecosystems.
The conference is an extension of CEPS’s broader initiatives, which include certificate programs, corporate partnerships, stackable credentials and internship and apprenticeship pathways designed to increase access to careers in cybersecurity and technology governance.
A Powerful Network of Industry and Academic Leaders
The program will feature national and global leaders who are actively shaping the future of enterprise risk and cybersecurity, including:
- Linda Tuck Chapman – Global Pioneer in Third-Party Risk, Third Party Risk Institute
- Jim Routh – Former CSO/CISO, MassMutual and CVS
- David Dafinoiu – Deputy CISO, AT&T
- Andrew Moyad – CEO, Shared Assessments
- Chris Hetner – Cyber Risk Advisor to global boardroom leaders
- Norman Levine – Former TPRM Leader, HBO, Stanley Black & Decker, Citi
- Ariel Evans – Author, Professor, and Founder, Cyber Intelligence 4U
In addition, Cyber Intelligence 4U will serve as a key external partner, supporting the conference with expert guidance and opening new opportunities for student internships, applied projects, industry shadowing and career mentorship, reinforcing CEPS’s mission to connect education to real-world workforce outcomes.
The event advances CEPS’s strategic priorities by supporting workforce readiness and adult learner success, expanding equitable access through scholarships and targeted outreach, and strengthening interdisciplinary, mission-driven education grounded in Seton Hall’s values, while reinforcing CEPS’s focus on revenue-generating professional programming and industry-embedded learning experiences.
In support of student engagement and access, Seton Hall will offer a limited number of no-cost registrations for students with a demonstrated interest in cybersecurity and risk management. Students who wish to be considered should contact [email protected] for more information
