Seton Hall Prepares to Celebrate its Fifth Annual Giving Day: Hall Together
Friday, March 25, 2022
On April 27-28, Seton Hall will host its fifth annual Giving Day led by the Department of Alumni Engagement and Philanthropy. Since the inception of the campaign in 2018, the initiative has seen tremendous success, garnering a record-breaking $422,000 last year. For this milestone year, the University is encouraging the entire Seton Hall community to come together on behalf of students and to participate in Seton Hall's biggest day of giving during the year to help shape the future of the University.
This year's theme, Hall Together, was envisioned to inspire joy and comradery among the campus community. Through collaborative effort among University Advancement, Seton Hall Law, and Pirate Blue Athletics, Seton Hall Giving Day will embolden the idea of uniting in celebration as one community with a common goal – to support Seton Hall students, provide critical resources for their success, and help the University remain on a forward path. "Seton Hall alumni, parents, and friends are passionate," says Anthony Bellucci, MBA '18, Associate Vice President of Alumni Engagement and Philanthropy. "I know with their support we can take Giving Day to the next level and make a difference for the University and generations of Pirates now and to come."
In honor of the University's founding year, the campaign's goal will be to achieve 1,856 donors and surpass last year's dollars raised. The community is encouraged to give to the area of their choosing with the Giving Day web page highlighting various campus efforts and funding priorities including the University Center Renovations, the Center for Sports Media, Pirate Blue Athletics, Seton Hall Law, ongoing initiatives like the MLK Endowed Scholarship Fund, and more. No matter what fund donors choose to support, or the amount of the donation, every gift is invaluable and allows Seton Hall and the next generation of Pirates to continue thriving.
The excitement of the day will be amplified with a road show where various members of the campus community will highlight special funding areas for student organizations. Additionally, members of the Student Alumni Association and the Digital Engagement Center will host an event on Wednesday, April 27 on the University Green. Visit their table for trivia, giveaways, and more, creating excitement around the day and engaging students on campus.
With a desire to spark increased participation, advocacy for this year's campaign will be pivotal and serves as a way for the community and alumni to spread awareness about Seton Hall Giving Day and generate excitement leading up to and during the campaign. Giving Day advocates help inspire fellow Pirates near and far, family, and friends to support the initiative. View the advocate toolkit to learn more about advocacy and how to get involved.
As Giving Day approaches, Seton Hall will continue to lean on the strength of its community as it strives for another ground-breaking year. Every donation makes a difference, adding to the ultimate total and making a lasting impact in the lives of Seton Hall students. Click here to get a head start and make an early gift.
