11th Annual Christmas at the Hall

Cozy Christmas scene at home. Seton Hall, which has been lauded as the Best College in America for "Holiday Events" for several years, is finding new ways to celebrate Christmas this year.

As we prepare to conclude the fall semester remotely, we want to ensure the Seton Hall community that our treasured tradition of Christmas at the Hall will remain. The Christmas spirit is not one that can be dampened easily, and as such, we are working together, as a community, to continue our traditions.

We understand that many of our students may be leaving earlier than anticipated to return home. As such, Fr. Colin Kay, Interim Vice President of Mission and Ministry, will bless the Christmas Tree tomorrow, Friday, November 13th, at 9:45 a.m., alongside President Joseph Nyre. The tree will remain lit to shine a light on each of you as you go home for the holiday season.

We also wish to remind you that the Seton Hall Christmas tradition of Blue Santa hats will continue on! Students can reserve their blue Santa hat here. Santa hats will be limited to one per person and they will be shipped to your home address.

While the DOVE Toy Wrapping Party scheduled for next week has been cancelled, we want to sincerely thank our University community for their record-breaking donations which will answer an unprecedented need. Your generosity exemplifies the mission of our Catholic University.

We are blessed to keep our traditions alive while adapting to our current situation. We're excited to celebrate Christmas at the Hall in new and innovative ways that allow all members of our Seton Hall community to engage from wherever they are!

Mark your calendar for Friday, December 4th! Seton Hall University will be hosting a Together at Home: Virtual Christmas at the Hall Special which you can watch from the comfort of your own home, starring Dean Winston Roberts and Dean Robin Cunningham. We may not be able to light our Norway spruce in-person, but during this special we will feature our student group performances as well as light the tree, our annual tradition, together while we all watch from across the nation and the globe!
