Checklists for the SRTF Scholarship Applicants

First Time Applicants

  Go online to start the Seton Hall graduate admissions process by filling out the graduate non-matriculated form: www.shu.edu/graduate-affairs/apply.cfm

  Complete the SRTF Scholarship application and either mail it to our office: SRTF, Seton Hall University, 400 South Orange Avenue, South Orange, NJ 07079 or email it to [email protected].

  Send us an original sealed transcript from your undergraduate college or university.

  Include the names of two personal or professional references on the SRTF application and provide two letters of reference.

  Obtain a letter from your principal confirming your employment.

  Provide documentation indicating whether district funding is available for tuition reimbursement.

  If you teach in a diocesan school, please ask for and submit the tuition discount form.

  Include an essay on why you wish to take the course you have selected. (Please see application guidelines for essay content.)

  Once you receive an email acceptance from the University and a letter of acceptance from the SRTF office, you may then register for the course you have selected. The University acceptance indicates that a PIN has been generated for you and your Seton Hall account has been created.

  Register online in a timely manner:

  • For fall semester by June 15
  • For spring semester by November 30

  Pay all fees as soon as they appear on your on-line account.

Returning Students

  Complete the application and mail it to our office: SRTF, Seton Hall University, 400 South Orange Avenue, South Orange, NJ 07079.

  If you have changed positions, request a letter from your employer confirming your employment.

  Write a brief essay on how the course(s) you have taken have helped you professionally.

  Provide documentation indicating whether district funding is available.

  If you teach in a diocesan school, please ask for and submit the discount form.

  Register online in a timely manner:

  • For fall semester by June 15
  • For spring semester by November 30

  Pay all fees as soon as they appear on your on-line account.
