Seton Hall's unique M.A. in Museum Professions prepares you to create, innovate and lead in  twenty-first century museums. You’ll prepare for all aspects of museum work in four industry-driven skill centers that reflect the complex, multipurpose nature of cultural institutions today:

Education: Explore the uses of technology in museum education, along with educational theory, human development, museum programming and audience research.

Management: Gain deep understanding of the legal and financial responsibilities of museum leadership, so you can lead with confidence.

Registration: Learn up-to-the-minute skills and ethics for a career in the care and management of museum collections.

Exhibition Development: Explore the mindset and creative tools needed to conceive and execute engaging museum exhibitions.

With the guidance of acclaimed faculty researchers, authors and established professionals from the field, you’ll gain hands-on experience in behind-the-scenes visits and coveted internships at prestigious institutions, such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Smithsonian.
