M.A.E. Instructional Design and Technology

The Masters of Arts in Education in Instructional Design and Technology prepares professionals with opportunities to further their skills and education in the applications of emerging technology for teaching, learning, coaching and designing. Seton Hall’s IDAT program is a 36 credit program that was designed by K-12 and higher education educators and technology professionals. The program offers courses online, face-to-face, and in a blended format.

  • The Instructional Design and Technology program for teachers combines technology expertise with other educational specialties to provide the comprehensive integration of digital technologies, promote excellence, and maximize the learning of all students.
  • The online Instructional Design and Technology master's degree, with a specialization in School Library Media provides courses that fulfill New Jersey certification requirements and provides the technology knowledge sought by many school districts today. The program prepares students to be technology leaders and become certified as library media specialists.
  • The New Jersey Supervisors certificate program prepares technology teachers, coaches, and school library media specialists to meet the New Jersey State Department of Education requirements for a supervisors certificate while deepening their knowledge of 21st century digital technologies.
  • The Special Education and Technology track offers teachers the opportunity to earn special education certification or deepen their knowledge to serve children with autism or provide transition services. The role of technology in support of students with special needs, and all learners, is central to this program.
