Spring 2022 Remote Synchronous Teaching and Learning Exceptions
We will be having a temporary pivot to remote synchronous teaching and learning between January 19 and January 30. The following exceptions exist:
College of Nursing
As noted, until January 31st, all didactic classes will be synchronous remote in the Undergraduate and CNL programs and either synchronous or asynchronous as is typical in the graduate programs. All labs and clinical experiences including scheduled simulation experiences will continue f2f. The current plan is for all classes, both clinical and didactic, to resume f2f on January 31st. Naturally, students and faculty must follow all clinical agency protocols.
I am asking all faculty teaching clinical both in the labs and in clinical agencies to please reach out to the students in your clinical groups to make sure they are aware that all lab and clinical experiences will remain f2f.
This policy includes the ABSN students in Lakewood.

College of Arts and Sciences
There are no in-person lab courses scheduled before January 30.
For Social Work, students in the following field courses are expected to complete their field practicums in person if required by the agency. The expectation is that students are complying with agency requirements (such as all in-person, hybrid, or remote) depending upon the service needs. The class sessions to discuss the material will be held remotely for the first two weeks of class between January 19-30, but undergraduate and graduate students will be seeing clients in-person between January 19-30. Students who experience any changes in their field practicum due to COVID concerns (such as need to quarantine, temporary agency closing, or switches in modality) should communicate these changes to their field liaison and the field director of their program immediately.
