Employee Update
The University remains closed to non-essential employees. In accordance with Governor Murphy’s order to stay at home and the Center for Disease Control’s recommendation to wear face coverings when in public, the University puts forth the following requirements:
Non-Daily Essential Employees are Limited To:
Employees with state-issued Essential Employee card.
Procedure for Non-Daily Essential personnel to access campus:
- Each employee must perform COVID-19 Daily Checklist (pdf) at home before leaving for campus.
- If employee does NOT have any symptoms on the checklist, they may access campus.
- If employee does have any symptom(s) on the checklist, they may NOT access campus and should immediately contact their Primary Care Physician for further direction.
Non-Essential Employees with Essential Business Purpose
The University recognizes that some employees may have need to access their office
during this time. However, the need must be essential for continuing the work of the
University and must be approved as follows:
- The employee’s Supervisor must approve the Essential Business purpose for the employee to access the campus.
- The Supervisor will call Public Safety & Security dispatch (SO Campus - 973-761-9300; Law School – 973-642-8725; IHS Campus – 973-542-6600) in advance and provide the date, time, approximate duration, and location of the employee’s visit to campus.
- The employee must perform COVID-19 Daily Checklist (pdf) at home before leaving for campus.
- If employee does NOT have any symptoms on the checklist, they may access campus.
- If employee does have any symptom(s) on the checklist, they many NOT access campus and should immediately contact their Primary Care Physician for further direction.
