Vida Asare
Vida Asare is an M.A. Candidate from Ghana with over 20 years of professional government experience. She has spent her time working in the Office of the President of Ghana as a Civil Servant. Asare’s proximity to governmental affairs inspired her to seek further education in international relations and diplomacy.
To use her skills and education to promote greater cooperation in West Africa, she specializes in Foreign Policy Analysis, Global Negotiations, and Conflict Management. Asare is very active in UN-related initiatives, such as serving as a Student Ambassador during the School of Diplomacy’s World Leaders Forum.
What brought you to Seton Hall?
“I chose Seton Hall University because it is a place where academic excellence meets
real-world experience.
What interested you most about the School of Diplomacy?
The School of Diplomacy’s focus on practical learning and being so close to the United
Nations in New York City really stood out to me.

Those values reflect what I care about most as someone from Ghana who wants to make
