Nyada Bryant
Nyada Bryant is a graduate student from West Orange, New Jersey. She earned her B.A. in political science from Seton Hall in 2014. Bryant is pursuing her master’s degree, specializing in negotiation and foreign policy.
Bryant was inspired to continue her studies at the School of Diplomacy because of the program’s excellent reputation. She had known about its internship opportunities, World Leaders Forum, and connections to the United Nations, all of which aligned with her own interest in international relations. As a political science major in college, she specialized in international affairs, taking undergraduate classes at the School of Diplomacy. There is overlap between political science and international relations. Now as a graduate student, she has been able to expand on her understanding and knowledge of theories she learned previously, and put them into practice in opportunities such as negotiation simulations and the upcoming UN Summer Seminar, which she attended in 2025.
What brought you back to Seton Hall for graduate school?
I chose Seton Hall for its strong academic programs, but I also wanted to stay close to home. I knew the transition from undergrad to a master's would be challenging, so I chose a school nearby to ease some of that anxiety.
And how is the experience so far?
By the time the first semester ended, I felt comfortable and confident!
What do you like best about the School of Diplomacy?
My favorite things about the School of Diplomacy is its proximity to New York City and the connections the school offers. I've been able to attend many events within the city and received an internship with a New Jersey senator with help from one of my deans.
