Seton Hall University junior Thaddius Gamueda has been awarded a $2,500 scholarship from the NJ SIM Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the New Jersey Society for Information Management (NJ SIM), for the fall 2026 academic term. The need-based scholarship recognizes high-achieving college students pursuing studies connected to technology and business innovation.
Frank Giannelli, secretary of the NJ SIM Foundation, highlighted that “supporting the next generation of technology and cybersecurity leaders is an important component of our Foundation’s mission, and Thaddius and our other New Jersey University scholarship winners embody the ethical leadership characteristics we need for the future.”
Gamueda, a Business and Information Technology major in the Stillman School and rising leader in the Buccino Leadership Institute, was nominated for the honor by Seton Hall’s Division of Continuing Education and Professional Studies (CEPS). CEPS has been partnering on a thought leadership CIO Roundtable Series with the NJ SIM, providing a high-level forum for academic-industry collaboration and discussion on evolving trends in Cybersecurity, AI and related areas.
As part of the award, Gamueda will be recognized during the NJ SIM Foundation Award Ceremony at the organization’s Annual Technology Exchange and Charity Golf Outing on June 15, 2026, at the New Jersey National Golf Club. Scholarship recipients will be honored alongside industry leaders, sponsors and peers. During the ceremony, Gamueda will deliver remarks about how the scholarship will support his educational journey and future career goals.
The scholarship may be applied toward tuition, housing, books, meal plans and other approved educational expenses, helping to further Gamueda’s academic pursuits as he continues his studies at Seton Hall University. Associate Provost and Dean of CEPS Mary Kate Naatus said, “This recognition highlights the impact of academic excellence, leadership development and industry engagement in preparing students for future careers in business and technology.” Gamueda has also distinguished himself as a campus leader as ALPFA (Association of Latino Professionals for America) chapter president, member of the High Finance Club and for clinching Honorable Mention honors in our 2nd annual 24-hour Hackathon with a team of student leaders.
Seton Hall's Division of CEPS continues to build meaningful bridges between higher education and the technology industry through initiatives like the SIM NJ CIO Roundtable Series, connecting senior executives, faculty and students around the issues shaping the future of business and technology and the evolving professional requirements for our future workforce. For students like Thaddius Gamueda, these partnerships translate into real-world recognition, professional networks and scholarship opportunities that make a tangible difference.
