M.S.A.T. Admission Requirements

The M.S.A.T. program welcomes your application and questions about the admission process. Scores from the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) are not required for admission to the M.S.A.T. program.

Deadlines:

  • Early review applications are accepted beginning January 15.
  • The deadline for applications is March 15.
  • Applications will continue to be reviewed until the class is full.

Please Note:

  • Students with incomplete prerequisites (see below) may apply. However, they must state how they will satisfy the prerequisites prior to the start of the M.S.A.T. program.
  • All undergraduate prerequisite courses must be completed no longer than 10 years prior to the application date.

M.S.A.T. Admission Requirements and Prerequisites:

  •  Completion of the Seton Hall University graduate school admission application
  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution
  •  Preferred overall cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4-point scale
  •  Completion of the following undergraduate prerequisite courses with a grade of "C" or better and preferred overall pre-requisite GPA of 3.0:
    • Human Anatomy & Physiology (with a laboratory): 8 credits
    • Biological or Exercise Science: 3 credits
    • Physics or Biomechanics (with a laboratory): 4 credits
    • Chemistry (with a laboratory): 4 credits
    • College Math or Statistics: 3 credits
    • English: 3 credits
    • Social Sciences: 6 credits

How to Apply:

  • Complete the online application for graduate admission to Seton Hall University, selecting "Graduate Program Applicant" - "School of Health and Medical Sciences" - "M.S." - "M.S. in Athletic Training" within the appropriate drop-down menus when prompted.
  • Complete the Supplemental Admissions Documents required by the School of Health and Medical Sciences.
  • Review of applications will continue until class enrollment is fulfilled.
  • If you are applying for undergraduate admission to the Dual Degree Program in Athletic Training (Accelerated B.A./B.S. + M.S.A.T.), visit admissions.shu.edu for the online application.
