Tuesday, April 5th, 2022
The College of Arts and Sciences is hosting its sixth annual Business Bootcamp this upcoming May. This program is an intensive workshop organized over the course of five days, from Monday, May 23 through Friday, May 27. During this time, students will hear from a myriad of successful professionals working in various industries from pharmaceuticals to banking to nonprofits.
The purpose of the program is to teach students various skills they will need going into the workforce, assist in career development, and connect students to leaders in business. Students will learn about various aspects of the business world and how their humanities majors can apply to different fields. This opportunity exposes students to alternative possibilities after graduation, many which students may not know even exist. Students also learn and develop transferable skills such as networking, resume building, interview skills, and various leadership skills.
The Business Bootcamp is an opportunity for students to gain career experience and build a portfolio prior to a job or internship. The advice, expertise, and workshops provided give participating students an advantage going forward in any career.
The Business Bootcamp is available to all rising Arts and Sciences juniors and seniors at no cost. Room and board are provided. Applications are due no later than Wednesday, April 13.
