Author of NY Times’ Top 10 Book of 2016 Featured at Poetry-in-the-Round

The first Poetry-in-the-Round event of Fall 2017 will present critically acclaimed author Kaitlyn Greenidge on Wednesday, November 15 at 7:30 p.m. in the Faculty Lounge, University Center.
This reading is free and open to the public.
About the Author:
Kaitlyn Greenidge’s debut novel is We Love You, Charlie Freeman (Algonquin Books), which was named one of the New York Times Critics’ Top 10 Books
of 2016. Her writing has appeared in a number of popular and literary magazines as
well as leading newspapers including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Elle.com, Buzzfeed, Transition Magazine,
Virginia Quarterly Review, The Believer and American Short Fiction. She is also a contributing editor for LENNY Letter. She was a Bread Loaf scholar,
a Lower Manhattan Cultural Council Workspace artist-in-residence, and a Johnson State
College visiting emerging writer and is the recipient of fellowships from the Whiting
Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts. Originally from Boston, she now
lives in Brooklyn.

About the Series:
Poetry-in-the-Round has brought some of the best contemporary writers from around
the world to Seton Hall University for the past three decades. Some of those visitors
have included Joyce Carol Oates, E.L. Doctorow, Nadine Gordimer, C.K. Williams, Jonathan
Franzen, John Ashbery, Russell Banks, Adrienne Rich, and many others. The series has
worked to bring established and up-and-coming new writers to the attention of Seton
Hall students and the community. Dr. Nathan Oates, Associate Professor of English,
is the Director of the Series; during his sabbatical, Cara Blue Adams is directing
Poetry-in-the-Round.
