"Once I was a part of WSOU, Seton Hall's award-winning radio station, I found it to be my second home. It allowed me to learn the crafts of broadcasting and radio production in a hands-on environment. WSOU is built on the values of a strong work ethic, teamwork and dedication. It's beyond impressive to see so many WSOU staffers execute their roles with these values at the forefront every day."
As a four-year member of the WSOU staff, Wisowaty took on various roles: community programing engineer, sports broadcaster, morning DJ, assistant sports director, sports director and ultimately station manager. "WSOU provided the platform, the contact network and the cornerstone of my resume. Its reputation is a major reason I am where I am today, and I'm forever grateful for that."
Wisowaty also joined the staff of the Student run newspaper, The Setonian as a writer during the first week of his freshman year. His eagerness definitely paid off, as major story assignments, awards and editorial positions soon followed. His work with The Setonian also included major roles in management, which were significant in his professional growth. His positions included staff writer, assistant sports editor, managing editor and editor-in-chief. Some of his stories were even picked up by national news outlets like The Star-Ledger.
These experiences plus multiple internship and freelance work experience, including a prized internship with NBC, provided him a competitive edge and prepared him for career success. Today, Wisowaty works for MSNBC coordinating all graphic elements for selected programs. He has also participated in special coverage for the GOP primary season and will be active in all coverage of a presidential election.
