What Sets The School of Diplomacy apart?
- The School of Diplomacy enjoys an exclusive alliance with the United Nations community through the United Nations Association of the USA and the UN Foundation, and is unique in teaching courses in both New York and Washington, DC.
- Every student at the School of Diplomacy gains practical experience through professional internships at organizations such as the UN, Council on Foreign Relations, International Rescue Committee, the American Red Cross, State Department, the Department of Commerce and U.S. embassies and missions abroad.
- At the School of Diplomacy, the classroom becomes a mini United Nations, with international students and faculty of diverse experience fostering intimate discussion and mentorship that deals with today’s most pressing topics.
- Our students have the opportunity to discuss global concerns with international leaders, diplomats and Nobel Laureates. Thirteen ambassadors have taught at the School of Diplomacy since its inception in 1998 and more than 25 international relations experts guest lectured at the school in 2010-11 alone.
