Seniors enjoying the Welcome Back Happy Hour hosted by the Office of Student Engagement.
Last month, the Office of Student Engagement kicked off the Class of 2026’s final semester at Seton Hall with a Welcome Back Happy Hour. Senior-status students were invited to attend to connect with classmates, belt out their favorite karaoke song, and raise a glass to their senior year. This is the second happy hour hosted for the Class of 2026, and one of the many senior events and programs put on by the Office of Student Engagement during a senior’s Spring semester.
Throughout the semester, seniors can get a sneak peek of their cap and gown by sitting for Senior Portraits. Sessions are held on the South Orange campus during the months of February and March and seniors at the Interprofessional Health Science (IHS) campus can sit for portraits over a few days in April. Additionally, seniors can purchase a class ring to celebrate and remember their time at Seton Hall. Balfour Rings and Herff Jones both visit campus during the Spring to showcase their selection.
On Wednesday, March 25th, the Office of Student Engagement will start the official countdown to Commencement, marking the 56 days remaining until graduation, with the event, Last 56 Days! This event brings together campus partners like the Career Center, Student Alumni Association and Graduate Affairs to celebrate our students’ journey to graduation. Seniors can expect food, giveaways, and prizes. The South Orange celebration will take place in the University Center, while a similar semester will also take place at the IHS campus.
While Commencement may seem far away, seniors can also look forward to “Senior Days,” a weeklong program leading up to Commencement in May. During this week, the Office of Student Engagement plans signature events like the Senior Fire Pit Night and Senior Trip, while also collaborating with the Student Government Association, Young Alumni Council and Downtown South Orange on programs like a happy hour and special discounts in town. Seniors can keep an eye out for the full Senior Days schedule by following @Hallstudents on Instagram or by joining the Class of 2026 Seniors page on Engage.
Even better, many of these events are also highlighted on the Senior Bucket List, a fun checklist filled with trademark Seton Hall experiences that seniors can complete before crossing the stage at Commencement. OSE is always interested in seeing students’ progress, and any photos can be shared on social media or be sent to [email protected]
As our students get closer to their transition into alumni, the Office of Student Engagement is excited to create memories that bring our newest graduating class together.
