The Department of Residence Life has launched a new Housing Portal, accessible through PirateNet, to streamline applications, roommate selection and residential information for students planning to live on campus. The platform supports a smoother housing experience while helping students fully engage in Seton Hall’s vibrant residential community, where they can build friendships, participate in campus life and develop a strong sense of belonging.
Housing applications for the upcoming academic year will be available in the new Housing Portal. Returning students may continue to access past billing records and previous room assignments through the MCR Housing system; however, housing selection for the 2026–27 academic year will take place within the new portal. Students must be enrolled full-time in Fall classes to be eligible to participate in the housing selection process.
Through the portal, students can submit their housing application, indicate roommate preferences and complete the Housing License Agreement. Eligible students — those who are registered for Fall 2026 classes, submitted their housing application and deposit — will also have the opportunity to participate in an online roommate selection and matching process, allowing them to connect with fellow Pirates ahead of the academic year.
“Our goal is to make the housing process as clear and accessible as possible for our students,” said Evan Royds, assistant director of housing operations. “The Housing Portal creates a more intuitive experience that allows students to complete important steps, stay informed and feel confident as they prepare for their residential journey at Seton Hall.”
The platform also provides updates about housing deadlines, assignments and other important information throughout the process.
“As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, we are always looking for ways to enhance the services we provide to our residential community,” added James Calechman, director of residence life. “The Housing Portal is an important step in creating a more supportive and accessible housing experience for our students.”
Students interested in living on campus are encouraged to attend one of Residence Life's housing information sessions that will be communicated via email to all students. Residence Life will also be hosting roommate matching programs and building tours to help students successfully secure their housing on campus for the next academic year. Students may submit their housing application once they are registered full time for classes for Fall 2026.
