I have been teaching in the entry-level athletic training education program (ATEP)
at Seton Hall since 2002. As the Director of Clinical Education, I am responsible
for all student clinical experiences and coordinate both the classroom and clinical
requirements for each clinical practicum course. I have over 15 years of experience
in the AT field. My diverse experiences as an AT at the collegiate level has been
instrumental in developing the clinical education component of the SHU ATEP. Prior
to coming to Seton Hall, I served as an AT and program director for the ATEP at North
Carolina Central University (NCCU). While at NCCU, I helped to create the first CAATE
accredited athletic training education program to be offered at an HBCU.
My clinical background has helped me to develop positive relationships with our clinical
instructors and has helped create a strong link between the education program and
the outstanding clinical instructors associated with our program.
My research interest is in the area of entry-level clinical education in athletic
training.
