Claudia Ocello, President & CEO of Museum Partners Consulting, LLC has over 25 years' experience working in museums in the areas of education, exhibition development, evaluation, and accessibility. As a consultant she has worked with museums across the US including Smithsonian Museums and National Park Service sites as well as smaller local institutions, historical societies, libraries, school districts, aquariums, botanic gardens, and visual arts centers, treating all clients as equal, collaborative partners regardless of budget or size.
For 20 years Claudia has also volunteered with students and teachers on National History Day and profoundly believes that the arts and humanities play a key role in the development of citizens in a democratic society. As part of her philosophy of "giving back" to the museum field, she has served as Adjunct Faculty in Seton Hall University's Masters in Museum Professions Program for 20 years and volunteers on the board of the Education Committee (EdCom) of the American Alliance of Museums. Never forgetting her own mentors, in 2016 she started EdMEM, the first mentoring program for Museum Education professionals through EdCom.
Believing that learning is lifelong, Claudia strives to continue her personal and professional growth by attending and presenting annually at national, regional, and local conferences, and looking for inspiration in her work with museums from examples outside the museum field.
