Core Curriculum

For the academic year 2016/2017, I am a Visiting Assistant Professor of Theology at Caldwell University (New Jersey), and I am the instructor for a course with Seton Hall's Center for Diaconal Formation. In 2015, I defended my dissertation entitled, "John Henry Newman's Theology of History: The 'Theological Imaginary'," which was supervised by Prof. Dr. Terrence Merrigan and Prof. Dr. Johan Leemans of the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KU Leuven), and was written in the Research Unit, Systematic Theology and the Study of Religions. My research focuses not only on Newman, but also on the relationships between history, theology, development, and theological imagination. I have published several articles regarding Newman and/or these relationships. In addition, I have an avid interest in mystical theology and contemplative traditions. In this vein, I have researched figures like Gregory of Nyssa and Pseudo-Dionysius the Areopagite.
