Welcome Back Setonians
A Message from Interim President Passerini, January 18, 2024
Dear Pirates,
The beginning of a new semester brings a fresh set of academic, extracurricular and social opportunities. Though we return to classes with snow on the ground and a chill in the air, the excitement of embarking on new intellectual journeys warms our thoughts.
Although the term begins in the heart of the winter season, we intentionally call it the “spring” semester. This reminds us not to focus on where we are, but where we are going (brighter and longer days that attend the season of new life).
In these early days of the semester, I hope you will stay focused on the bright future you envision for yourselves. May will be here before we know it. To reach a successful conclusion to the academic year, the foundation must be established now.
Remember to pace yourselves; stay on top of the many responsibilities that come with college life; and please reach out if you feel yourself falling behind. The University provides wonderful support resources for everyone on our campuses.
By working together and supporting each other, I know we will achieve a great deal for ourselves and Seton Hall this semester.
All the best,
Katia Passerini, Ph.D.
Interim President
