Seton Hall University’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) is ranked in the top 17 percent of all undergraduate nursing programs nationwide for the third straight year, according to the latest U.S. News & World Report rankings.
In U.S. News’ 2027 Best Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) Programs, Seton Hall ranked No. 115 nationally. The University also holds the No. 1 spot among New Jersey’s private universities and places in the top 15 among Catholic colleges and universities.
“National recognition of our B.S.N. program affirms the strength of our faculty, curriculum and the educational experience we provide our students,” said College of Nursing Interim Dean Kristi Stinson, Ph.D., R.N., A.P.N.-B.C. “Building on a legacy that began with New Jersey’s first baccalaureate nursing program in 1937, we remain focused on preparing the next generation of nurses to meet the evolving needs of patients and communities.”
Top NCLEX-RN First-Time Pass Rates
Graduates of Seton Hall’s B.S.N. program achieved a 95.1 percent first-time pass rate
on the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) in 2025 — well above the
national average of 87.7 percent.
The College of Nursing’s comprehensive approach to licensure preparation leads to consistently high first-time pass rates, according to Stinson.
“Our students develop the clinical judgment and confidence they need through active learning, advanced simulation and extensive clinical experiences,” Stinson said. “Their strong performance on the NCLEX-RN provides a solid foundation as they begin their nursing careers.”
A.B.S.N. Earns National Accolades
The Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (A.B.S.N.) program — a 14-month, 62-credit cohort model for students with a non-nursing bachelor’s
degree — was ranked No. 7 among the 2026 Best Faith-Based A.B.S.N. Programs by RegisteredNursing.org.
Seton Hall's Interprofessional Health Sciences campus is home to the College of Nursing.
Offered at the University’s Freehold, N.J., location (fall and spring starts) and at the Interprofessional Health Sciences campus in Nutley, N.J. (spring start only), the A.B.S.N. program combines classroom instruction, simulation and clinical experiences in community, ambulatory, acute and long-term care settings.
