Investing in Our Future: Boland Hall
Boland Hall Lobby Addition and Interior Renovation
This renovation of our largest freshman residence hall will transform the entrance and update the interior with modern lighting, fixtures and finishes. Boland Hall’s new 1,600-foot lobby addition will not only modernize and beautify the building’s façade, it will also provide space for an enhanced security desk that matches systems in other residence halls. The floor-to-ceiling glass-enclosed lobby will offer a dynamic transitional space between exterior and interior while increasing ADA accessibility. And it will increase safety by providing greater visibility for monitoring people entering and exiting the building. Work on the lobby addition is anticipated to start in fall 2021 and be completed in fall 2022.
Students’ living quarters in Boland Hall South will receive new flooring and energy-efficient LED lighting; new furniture will replace existing built-in wooden closets and wardrobes. New carpeting will line the residence hall’s corridors, and reinstalled ceilings will feature LED hallway lighting. Fully renovated common bathrooms will boast the latest fixtures and finishes. Interior renovations will begin at the end of May 2021 and be completed in time for the fall semester.
The refurbishing efforts at Boland Hall will redefine its role as a welcoming space for Seton Hall’s newest students to settle in and call home.
