Certificate Curriculum
The Seton Hall Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Administration is a 15-credit program offered in an online delivery format, comprised of required and elective courses.
Note: Students pursuing the certificate may transfer credits to the Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) degree program if they decide to pursue the full program.

- 21st Century Healthcare Systems* (offered during Orientation Intensive Residency only): 2 credits
- Healthcare Management: 3 credits
- Financial and Managerial Accounting and Costing in Healthcare: 3 credits
Elective Courses (7 credits minimum)
- Managing Community and Population Health Systems: 3 credits
- Healthcare Policy* (offered during Mid Intensive Residency only): 2 credits
- Healthcare Economics: 3 credits
- Strategic Planning and Marketing in Healthcare Organizations: 3 credits
- Legal Aspects of Healthcare Organizations: 3 credits
- Quality and Information Management Systems: 3 credits
- Ethics in Healthcare Administration: 2 credits
- Emergency Management and Health Security: 3 credits
- Research Methods and Statistical Analysis: 3 credits

*21st Century Healthcare Systems (required) and Healthcare Policy (elective) are ONLY offered as part of an Intensive Residency, which is the in-person component to the online/hybrid program. Students will be required to attend three days of the Intensive Residency in order to complete 21st Century Healthcare Systems (required course, HCAD 7521); students should consult with their advisor or the program coordinator if they are interested in the elective Healthcare Policy course.
