Since 1995, Olivia Dineen, L.C.S.W., has served as Director of Seminary Counseling, sharing her psychological expertise with faculty and mentors and creating and delivering educational workshops designed to assist seminarians in honing life skills. Livvy interviews accepted seminarians and reviews and follows up on psychological reports. She is responsible for clinical assessment, treatment plans and intervention. In addition to her work at the Seminary, Livvy operates a private practice in psychotherapy, specializing in individual adult and couples therapy. Prior to joining the Seminary community, Livvy provided counseling and spiritual direction at several colleges and parishes across northern NJ. Livvy also previously served as an adjunct professor, teaching bereavement counseling at Seton Hall. Over the years, she has given Formation talks at Immaculate Conception Seminary and conferences at the priest institute in North Palm Beach and at the New Jersey Shore. She holds a B.A. in Sociology from Syracuse University, an M.A. in Pastoral Ministry from Seton Hall University and an M.S.W. in Social Work from Rutgers University, New Brunswick. At the Church of St. Ignatius of Loyola, NYC, Livvy helped to establish a singles group and a grief ministry program. She currently runs a bereavement group at St. Matthew Parish, Randolph, NJ. Livvy also serves on the Board of Renew International.
