Seton Hall, one of the nation’s leading Catholic universities, seeks a president to lead it into a new era. Embracing new opportunities while simultaneously enhancing its core strengths, Seton Hall seeks a proven leader of people and programs to serve as its 22nd president.
Seton Hall seeks a Roman Catholic priest as its president, someone who has leadership experience and can articulate the values of higher education and the Roman Catholic Church, with a focus on social justice and the Catholic intellectual tradition. Essential qualities include a student-centered approach, commitment to academic freedom, and experience in or passion for education, teaching, research and faculty governance.
The ideal candidate will effectively represent and fundraise for the University, enhancing its national brand and working closely with its boards and Cardinal Joseph W. Tobin, C.Ss.R., archbishop of Newark. The president will join Seton Hall at a pivotal time, with the opportunity to further its stature as a distinguished archdiocesan university committed to academic excellence and its Catholic mission.
